It was another energetic night learning about David, dancing to the music, playing crazy games, and bonding with cabin groups! We learned that although David was a great king for Israel, he made some terrible mistakes, and there is a perfect king that will rule forever: Jesus!
And now for the pictures of the evening…

Missus Nickell teaches the preschool through second-graders about David’s mistakes and Christ’s reign

Missus Leeds teaches the third- and fourth-graders

Mr. Christie teaches the fifth- and sixth-graders

Good ol’ Jimmy the raccoon learned the mandolin from his best friend, Sixstring Luke. Here he shows off his newfound skills.

Game time was a little bit messy tonight…

…or maybe really messy…

…even for the counselors…

…and “Uncle Swiney!”

The younger kids played a safe (albeit slightly wet) game of water balloon toss!

“Wild Doc” Perry and Sixstring Luke devised a plan to outwit the Automatic Gunslinger. They lost. Again.

“Hey-o I received your mercy…” Singing praises to the Lord!
Now, y’all come back to our fifth and final day of Base Camp 2009! Find out if Gil’s grandkids will lose the farm, or if anyone finds Gilvopper…or if “Wild Doc” Perry and Sixstring Luke can defeat the Automatic Gunslinger! See you there!
